ABOUT
Gelinova GmbH was established in 2001 in order to further develop the knowledge about gelatin,
its application in the food and pharmaceutical industry and specialty application.
From the very beginning Gelinova developed several international projects in this area but maintained at the same time a strong connection to its roots in the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg.
Dr.-Ing. Peter Koepff, chemical engineer and managing director of Gelinova - with decades of experience in gelatin industry and hard and soft gelatin capsule industry - recently decided to implement one of his patents, namely production of biofoils by extrusion.
Gelinova GmbH is now pioneering the application of this patent developed by Dr.-Ing. Peter Koepff.
This innovative and sustainable production method has been granted a significant support by the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany .
In addition to the local effort and development Gelinova is contributing, it was awared fincancial support from the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg as a part of the EFRE program (European Fund for Regional Development).
LOCATION
Gelinova GmbH is located in Neidenstein, Germany and
only a thirty minute drive away from Heidelberg City.
For international arrivals it is recommendable to take a flight either to Frankfurt Airport or Stuttgart Airport.
Both routes to Heidelberg City then can be easily done by either train or car.
