PRODUCTS & SOLUTIONS

"
We offer cutting-edge, optimized biofoils based on gelatin and other hydrocolloids (e.g. agar-agar).
"

We offer a wide range of high-performance biofoils based on gelatin and other hydrocolloids (e.g. agar-agar). We are also able to develop together with our customer an individualised and suitable solution if standardised mass products will not do the job. Our agility and pragmatic approach due to our relatively small organisation and customer-focus is our advantage when designing new products and solutions.

Biopolymer Foils for Packaging

In Europe annually app. 30 million tons of synthetic polymers are accumulating as waste. This waste unfortunately is not biodegradable.
Biopolymer-based foils will mean a partial replacement and are perfectly biodegradable. By cross- linking the gelatin molecules through suitable components, less sensitivity of the modified gelatin foils towards humidity can be established. An interesting future of such materials is to be expected in view of the ongoing discussion about environmental contamination by synthetic polymers.

Wide-range Possibilities

Our innovative production process is universal, and thus will be able to develop and produce a variety of new products and solutions.
Therefore  we can for example imprint logos, text or patterns according to customer wish unto the foil. Respecting vegetarians we have developed leaf foils on basis of agar-agar. We therefore can offer a strictly vegetarian alternative. Halal and Kosher products are available as well.

Leaf Gelatin

Based on Gelinova’s extrusion process, tailor-made leaf gelatin can be  produced for our customers according to their specifications. Because of this modern process, the raw gelatin is not being degraded as in the classical process, and – most importantly – the bacteriological qualities are hence excellent. The manufacturing process is a closed system and therefore the gelatin solution is not exposed to the potential contamination of the environment (dust, bacteria).
